International Relations Officer

Duty Station: UMU Nkozi

Main Function: To provide information and assistance to international students and faculty

Accountability Profile
• To attract faculty and students from other countries.
• To give advice and assistance to both prospective faculty, undergraduate and postgraduate international students at the University.
• To provide information about the courses offered, entry requirements, accommodation, fees structure and application procedures.
• To assist the international faculty and students to obtain resident visas.

• To welcome and induct new faculty and students to the University and provide them with relevant information about the University and the Country at large.
• To work hand in hand with the Public Relations Officer to offer prospective faculty and students the necessary support from the start of their application to Uganda Martyrs University to the time they complete.
• To organize functions that may bring them together and share their respective cultures with other faculty and students.
• To organize such that international students celebrate their national days.
• To work hand in hand with the Public Relations Officer to ensure that the concerned are properly guided regarding social life at campus and Uganda in general.
• To promote Uganda Martyrs University's interests outside Uganda.
• Liaise with Uganda Martyrs University Officers/Offices outside Uganda.
• Take on any other duty which from time to time may be required


Job requirement

Qualifications:
The candidate should have a Masters degree in International Relations, Marketing or Mass communication.
