Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

The Microfinance Support Centre Limited (MSC) is a Government of Uganda (GOU) owned company. MSC was incorporated in 2001 as a company limited by guarantee. It is the linchpin of GOU microcredit programmes under Rural Financial Services Strategy (RFSS).

The RFSS is a component of the Prosperity for Ail programs [PFA],
MSC offers affordable financial and Business Development services with a goal to maximize outreach and deliver demand driven credit. The credit is offered through loan funds and loan products that support the agricultural production valuechain namely; production, value addition and marketing. The company also offers business development services with a goal to assist her clients upgrade their capacities to manage their businesses profitably.
The Company seeks to recruit suitable persons to fill the following vacant position in its establishment.
4. Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (M&EO) • Level 5(1)
JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for ensuring that activities in the Company's strategic plan, departmental/unit plans are undertaken as planned and provide feedback to the concerned. Ensure that the Zonal data is updated quarterly and assistance is provided to Zonal staff where necessary.
REPORTS TO: Manager (Monitoring and Evaluation)

Key tasks and responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement Monitoring and .Evaluation (M&E) framework.
2. Periodically monitor the Company's performance and propose remedial action.
3. Produce reports and other information in respect of Company's intervention.
4. Participate in the development of standardized tools to ensure quality M&E systems.
5. Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.

Job requirement

Person specifications:
The position requires the following minimum qualifications:
a) An honors degree from a recognized university in Project planning and management, Economics, Development Studies, Social Sciences and any other related qualification.
b) Experience of at least 2 years in the field of development and use of M&E approaches and logical framework.
c) Exposure in donor reporting requirements is desirable.
d) Knowledge in analytical software packages such as SPSS or SAS is a must.
e) Self driven with high sense of responsibility.
f) Ability to meet deadline with minimal supervision.
g) Strong interpersonal skills,
h) Aged 25 years and above.
