Position : Academic Registrar
Reporting to: Vice Chancellor /Deputy Vice
Chancellor
Deputy Station : Main Campus Masaka
Main Function : Responsible for achievement of
academic excellence through development and
implementation of academic programs in
accordance to the University' s acceptable
standards .

Accountability Profile :
The candidate will be responsible for:
1 - Coordination of curriculum development of all
academic programs, courses and research
carried out in the university.
2 - Ensuring that students admitted have the
required qualifications for the courses they
intend to pursue
3 - Implementaing all academic policies and
procedures approved by council in accordance to
set standards .
4 - Ensuring safe custody of data relating to
admissions progress and examinations
5 - Overseeing the preparation of time tables for
lectures at all faculties
6 - Ensuring timely setting of examinations and
their proper conduct
7 - Arranging for external examiners.
8 - Arranging for admissions and graduation
ceremonies
9 - Liasing with the Human resources
department for recruitments , promotions ,
development and appraisal of academic staff.
10 - Ensuring senate working facilitation.

Job requirement
Qualifications :
The candidate should have
1 - A masters degree in Education Management
or Curriculum Development.
2 - A PhD is an added advantage 2- Should have
strong leadership , interpersonal and
communication skills
3 - Should be of unquestionable integrity
4 - Should show proven experience in a similar
job in a reputable institution .
