Church Commissioners Holding Company Limited (CCHCL) is the investment arm of the Church of the Province of Uganda. The mission of CCHCL is to generate income in order to create an economically self sustaining Church. CCHCL seeks to recruit a qualified person who will supervise the ongoing project of the Church House Construction.
Purpose
Job Description:
To ensure that the construction works are carried out strictly in accordance with specifications, ensure quality of workmanship, health and safety regulations.
Will keep detailed records of:
- Progress and delays
- Number and types of workers employed.
- Weather conditions
- Visitors to the site
- Drawings received
- Deliveries
Ensure that samples of materials to be tested are carried out in designated laboratories and approved by consultants before ordering in bulk. Imported structural materials and finishes are delivered on site with Manufacturers Certificates and appropriate I.S.O
Requirement:
Skills and Qualities:
Have wide understanding of construction methods and knowledge of building materials in the industry.
Have a good head for heights.
Technically competent, honest and vigilant, diplomatic while remaining independent.
Interest in working outdoors.
Qualifications
Engineers: BSC Civil Engineering
Architect: B.Arch
Qualifications MUST be from accredited Universities Experience:
5 years in busy Professional/Government Offices and Construction site. Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Project Management will be an added advantage.
Higher National Diploma in Civil Engineering/ Architecture (HND)
Experience:
10 years on busy Sites with High Rise Buildings.
