Job Code: HRM/073/601 Reports To: Supervisor Database Administration or Supervisor Data Warehousing
ROLE: Design, implement, maintain the
Performance und capacity, and plan future expansion requirements including the implementation of security measures to safeguard the database in line with database strategy, systems specifications and IT Policy.
Requirement:

(a) Qualifications
• Honors Degree in any of the following areas: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Physics/Mathematics, Computer Applications and Information Systems.

• Professional Certifications that are relevant to Database administrators such as Microsoft Certified Database Administrator, Oracle Certified Database Administrator or equivalent will be an added advantage.

(b) Experience and Knowledge

• Two years’ experience with Database administration roles preferably in a large corporate environment.
• Experience with SQL Server, Oracle lOg (or equivalent RDB technology) and a corporate Reporting tool.

• Experience in design and implementation of the Extract, Transform and Load process.

• Exposure to the Master Data Management skills will be an added advantage

• Hands-on experience in the management of the Database management systems technologies

(c) Character

• keeps current by reading, interpreting and applying information and adapting to technology changes and updates;

• ability to organize and prioritize work, be proactive, take initiative, resolve problems, follow through, and simultaneously manage multiple priorities to ensure goals are met in a timely manner

(d) Special Requirements

• Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time in front of a computer.

• Willingness to work additional hours during the week and/or weekend, if required.
