Age: 28years and above

Minimum Qualifications and Worling experience:
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Economics or Social Sciences or Policy Analysis or Economics and Statistics or Development Studies from a recognized University/Institution.
Possession of a Post Graduate Diploma in Development Studies or any of the above fields will be an added advantage.

Applicants should have a minimum of six (6) years relevant working experience, three (3) of which should have been gained at the level of Senior Policy Analyst in Government or equivalent level of experience from a reputable organization.
Applicants should have demonstrated ability, initiative and competence in directing, organizing and executing work at the level.

DUTIES:-
The incumbent will be responsible to the Assistant Commissioner Policy and Planning for performing the following duties:
? Recording, analyzing, developing and formulating policies in conformity with overall national policies.
? Liaising with other line Ministries/Departments in order to develop cross-sectoral policies.
? Reviewing and updating such policies.
? Monitoring the performance and Result Oriented Management (ROM) in the Ministry.
? Providing post guidance through coordinating, monitoring and evaluation of the sector policies.
? Proposing review of policies when and where necessary and advising the Ministry accordingly.
? Monitoring and evaluating ROM implementation and its out comes in the Ministry.
? Any other duties as may be assigned by from time to time.

Applications should bear the title of the post as well as the reference number specified against the vacancy. Serving Officers will not be considered for Entry Level Posts in Scale U4, where applicable.
