Position ; University Bursar
Reporting to: University Secretary
Deputy Station ; Main Campus Masaka
Main Function ; He /She heads the department of
Finance . He or she is a member of top
Management .

Accountability Profile
1 - Establishing effective and appropriate
systems of accounting and budgeting
2 - Advising Management on all financial matters
particularly the use of Funds
3 - Managing cash and bank holdings recorded
with the books of accounts
4 - Forecasting the University cash requirement
5 - Supervising prompt collection of University
income
6 - Participating in contract negotiation with
external services providers
7 - Ensuring of safe custody of all financial
records
8 - Developing strategic plans for the University
to project revenue sources and expenditure
9 - Preparing of periodical financial reports
indicating achievements against set targets
10 - Ensuring Financial Accounts preparations.

Job requirement
Qualifications :
The candidate should have a;
1 - First relevant degree (BCOM , BSA in Finance /
Accounting )
2 - In addition , possesses MBA / MSC
( Accounting, Finance) or and Professional
qualifications e .g CPA, ACCA, CIMA, etc
3 - Have strong leadership , interpersonal and
communication skills
4 - Have a track record of managing large
finance budgets in reputable institutions
