Research Fellow Vacancies

Our Client the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) has received a grant from UKAID for the Department For International Development (DFID) for strengthening evidence based decision making in the public sector. The grant is intended, amongst other things, for the establishment of a Government Evaluation Facility to evaluate public policy and investments. OPM is seeking qualified and competent personnel to fill the following vacant positions in Evaluation:-

1. PRINCIPAL RESEARCH FELLOW (PRF) - EVALUATION (1 position)
Reports to: Principal Economist, Department of Monitoring and Evaluation
This position involves: Lead in the design, conduct and management of evaluations that are impartial, independent, and credible and meet the guidelines and professional standards set by the Office.
Minimum specifications:
The successful candidate will have;
- A minimum of a Master's degree in Economics, Sociology or related Social Sciences, OR a combination of a first level bachelor's degree with relevant experience.
- A minimum of 10 years professional experience in evaluation including impact evaluation, or public policy applied research.
- Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
- Knowledge of Government policies and procedures.
- Proven team leadership and communication skills.
- High ethical standards
2. SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (SRF) - EVALUATION (1 position)
Reports to: Principal Research Fellow – Evaluation
This position involves: Work on the design, conduct and management of evaluations that are impartial, independent, and credible and meet the guidelines and professional standards set by the Office
Minimum specifications:
The successful candidate will have;
-  minimum of a Master's degree in Economics, Sociology or related Social Sciences, OR a combination of a first level bachelor's degree with relevant experience.
- A minimum of 5 years professional experience in evaluation including impact evaluation, or public policy applied research.
- Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
- Knowledge of Government policies and procedures.
- Good team work and communication skills.
- High ethical standards
3. ASSISTANT RESEARCH FELLOW - EVALUATION (1 position)
Reports to:Senior Research Fellow - Evaluation
This position involves: Providing technical guidance in the conducting and/or management of evaluations that are impartial, independent, and credible and meet the guidelines and professional standards set by the Office.
Minimum specifications:
The successful candidate will have;
- A Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences.
- A minimum of two years professional experience in evaluation.
- Proven expertise in data collection and analysis techniques.

Contract terms and Remuneration
Contracts for all positions are based on local terms and will be offered on a one-year basis but renewable up to 3 years.

Remuneration is based on highly attractive Project terms but dependent on knowledge and experience.
