Microfinance Support Centre Limited (MSC) is a Government of Uganda
(GOU) owned company. MSC was incorporated in 2001 as a company limited
by guarantee. It is the linchpin of GOU microcredit programmes under
Rural Financial Services Strategy (RFSS).
The RFSS is a component of the Prosperity for Ail programs [PFA],
MSC offers affordable financial and Business Development services with a goal to maximize outreach and deliver demand driven credit. The credit is offered through loan funds and loan products that support the agricultural production valuechain namely; production, value addition and marketing. The company also offers business development services with a goal to assist her clients upgrade their capacities to manage their businesses profitably.
The Company seeks to recruit suitable persons to fill the following vacant position in its establishment.
5. Administrative Assistant (Zonal Office)
(AA-ZO)-Level6(01)
JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for administrative and logistical support for the zonal office.
REPORTS TO: Zonal Manager.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Organize, screen correspondences and reports and forward them to action officers, maintaining a tracking system for easy follow up.
2. Organize briefings materials and logistics for Zonal Officers use on official trip or meetings and maintain a schedule of activities in the zone.
3. Manage front office, receive, attend to and direct visitors.
4. Maintain and update the office filing system for in¬coming and out-going mail including accounting records.
5. Process correspondences of documents and reports, as required.
6. Handle office petty cash payments and provide timely accountability.
7. Purchase, store and issue office supplies and stationery for the facilitation of Zonal activities.
8. Maintenance of office equipment and general cleanliness of the office.
9. Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned to him/her by the Supervisor,

The position requires the following minimum qualifications and competences:
a) Diploma from a recognized Training Institute in Business Studies, Secretarial studies, Social Administration, and Public Administration;
b) Experience of 2 years in general office management;
c) Proven Proficiency in the use of MS-Office ability to use a computer;
d) Strong interpersonal skills and a certificate in customer care.
e) Minimum age of 22 years and above.
The position requires the following minimum qualifications and competences:
