KEY RESULT AREAS:
• Lead the Project Management Unit during the initial stages of project mapping and line route verification. • Lead the RAP verification team to identify the correct route for verification exercise before compensation can be effected. • Take the EPC Contractor through the line route during the Geo-tech investigation. • Handle any proposed line diversions during implementation to minimize disputes and negative impacts. • And to carry out any other duties as may be assigned from time to time. THE PERSON SPECIFICATIONS:
The desired person should have the following essential requirements. • Degree in Surveying or equivalent professional qualification • Significant experience in the use of survey equipment for position and precision. • Experience of three years in survey of long corridor projects like transmission lines, roads and pipe lines. • Must be familiar with the Ugandan coordinate systems. • Must be computer literate. • Must have good interpersonal skills. • Must have good analytical and communication skills. • Must be able to withstand stressful work situations and have willingness to work for long hours outside the official working hours. • A person of high integrity, motivated, innovative and a committed team player. • Must possess a valid National Driving Permit.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT AND REMUNERATION: • For Jobs No. 1, No.2 and No. 3 engagement is on a four (4) year employment contract. • For Job No. 4 Engagement is on a two (2) year employment contract. • Attractive remuneration packages that are competitive.
