VSO is an international development agency that works through
volunteer professionals to fight global poverty and disadvantage. The
Programme Manager will take lead in programme funding and partnership
development for the key goal area of Education in the VSO Uganda country
strategic plan (CSP). The job entails: -- Programme Development – An overall, strategic and coherent programme in Education, which uses a range of development interventions and actively seeks to engage marginalized groups, is ambitiously evolved and successfully delivered in-line with targeting unfulfilled rights of poor and disadvantaged communities.
- Programme Planning, Implementation and Review – Planning and review systems are effectively implemented across the programme and join up overall to ensure a process of continuous learning and improvement and to demonstrate programme outcomes.
- Volunteer Support – Professional development and personal support to volunteers in their work with partner organizations.
- Partnership development and support – Identification of potential partners in-line with the CSP and facilitating partnership development and support processes
- Programme Funding – All programme and project funding opportunities are positively pursued and existing donor/supporter commitments are fully reported on and fulfilled.
- Finance and resource management – Efficient delivery of resources to meet the CSP objectives.
