Position: Clinical Officer (1);
Job purpose: The Clinical Officer is responsible for collection of accurate data from a population survey and a health facility survey: and for collection of blood and other study samples.
Duration: 9 month
Roles & Responsibilities:
Individual and community mobilisation for participation in the population survey.
Explaining study purpose to potential participants.
Obtaining informed consent from study participants.
Administering questionnaires to population survey participants.
Drawing blood samples from study participants.
Providing on the spot treatment for simple ailments for participants in the population survey
Providing health education for participants in the population survey.
Ordering for supplies/consumables for survey teams.
Scheduling appointments for survey teams’ re-visits.
Requirement:
Education, Skills and Experience needed – Clinical Officer
Diploma in Clinical Medicine.
3 or more years’ experience working in a research setting
Experience in the public healthcare sector is highly desirable
Fluency in English and Luganda.
