Program Officer

Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree qualification in public health, social science or related field
  • Ability to maintain records and archives essential
  • Ability to work effectively with organizational stakeholders
  • High degree of organization and initiative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Working Experience:
  • At least 2 years relevant experience in program management.
  • Experience with work planning and budget preparation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment and to efficiently manage multiple tasks
Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Technically supports the CCM in the organization and coordination of its general meetings as well as its committee/subcommittee meetings and any other meetings necessary.
  2. Prepares and maintains a record of programmatic issues at all meetings and supports the CCM to understand programmatic aspects of grants.
  3. Compiles programmatic information, archives documents, and keeps records of CCM communications and relevant documentation.
  4. Develops the CCM communications plan and oversees administrative and financial aspects associated with the plan’s implementation.
  5. Assists the Resource Mobilization and Proposal Development Committee in undertaking its responsibilities specifically for organizing and developing grant applications to the Global Fund.
  6. Liaise with the Finance and Procurement Committee to share information and review findings.
  7. Facilitate documentation of best practices and lessons learned from CCM activities and disseminate to relevant stakeholders.
  8. Serve as the communications focal point for the CCM as well as within the Secretariat.
  9. Coordinate annual CCM orientation meetings for members.
  10. Maintain documentation and archives of conflict of interest declarations.
  11. Assists Secretariat Coordinator in additional responsibilities as needed.
