Job summary:
The primary role of this position is to ensure delivery of services that empower communities to overcome social strife and to facilitate communities to ably
manage the transition from conflict to recovery. You will
oversee the implementation of community, household and group interventions that support communities to engage in productive activity, and to tackle specific challenges such as poverty, HIV/AIDs and other vulnerabilities that communities are exposed to in a post conflict setting.
Requirement: Person specification
•Participatory rural appraisal and social mobilization
skills.
•Capacity to identify, mentor and build capacity of
community self help groups.
•Case management experience including awareness
raising and sensitization.
•Ability to train rural communities using non- didactic
methodologies, and group facilitation and
empowerment skills.
•Ability to form community networks, referral pathways
and forge relations with local governments.
•The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a Social Work related field in addition to 3 years work experience among rural communities. You should also be able to speak the local language.
